#7 - What Is EMDR?

EMDR is the best way that I know how to help clients be able to no longer feel as if they have to feel as they have to live in the past, to be able to help clients move to optimal mental health, and have full integration of their experiences.”

Amy Terrell, LMHC joined me to describe the ins and outs of all 8 phases of EMDR therapy.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), developed by Francine Shapiro PH.D, is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.  Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference (EMDR Institute).
